Alex Jones sued for defamation by Sandy Hook parents

The two lawsuits filed on Monday in Travis County, Texas, where Jones resides, are likely the first defamation cases concerning Sandy Hook brought against Jones, who has called the shooting a hoax, said Mark Bankston, a Houston-based lawyer for the parents.

A gunman killed 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, on December 14, 2012, in an attack that ranks among the five deadliest mass shootings by a single gunman in US history.

InfoWars and Jones have allegedly pushed since the day of the 2012 shooting that the massacre did not happen, that it was staged by the government and that the parents of the victims are participants in a cover-up.

Despite the lawsuits, conspiracy-laden articles and videos relating to Sandy Hook continue to appear on the Infowars site and YouTube channel.

Lewis' parents also named InfoWars reporter Owen Shroyer in their suit, for his "heartless and vile" comment that the boy's father lied in an interview by saying he "held my son with a bullet hole through his head".

Bankston is also representing a MA man who is suing Jones for falsely identifying him as the gunman in the Parkland school shooting.

During the piece Cooper's nose seems to disappear leading Jones to claim that they are both actors and his nose "disappears repeatedly because the green screen isn't set right".

Pozner's parents' suit focuses on an April 2017 show, where Jones claimed an interview they did with CNN following the tragedy was bogus, according to the Courant. The children's bodies were eventually turned over to their parents for their funerals, the lawsuit said.

Both suits relate to comments made past year by Jones.
