Baltimore Ravens Are Interested In Signing Dez Bryant

Even still, Zrebiec reports, those signings didn't spell the end of Baltimore's pursuit of receivers: the team met with Cameron Meredith, who ended up signing with the Saints, and submitted a bid on Allen Hurns, who wound up signing with the Cowboys, ostensibly as a supplement to Bryant. He also said he wants to play in the NFC East, in order to play the Cowboys twice, specifically citing how he took the move to cut him personally.

It took a few days, but Dez Bryant has finally received interest from another team that would love to bring him aboard.

The Baltimore Ravens are interested in free agent wide receiver Dez Bryant, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports.

Bryant, 29, was released by the Dallas Cowboys after eight seasons last week. The Ravens already recently agreed to terms with Michael Crabtree, and they may be looking to give Joe Flacco another big-name target.

Bryant was released from the Cowboys due to the potential cap hit, which was $17 million last season.

The Baltimore Ravens seem like a logical fit for free agent Dez Bryant and the team apparently agrees. Between 2012 and 2014 Bryant was one of the most productive wide receivers in the National Football League, averaging 91 receptions, 1312 yards and 14 touchdowns a season, including an NFL-best 16 in 2014.

Burleson went on to say that if he were to land somewhere in the NFC East, he'd prefer to see him on the New York Giants with Odell Beckham, where Bryant would be the No. 2 wide receiver and would therefore draw the coverage from second and third-best defensive backs. Seeing the Rams quickly become an attractive team for players to join with their increased odds to win the Super Bowl has been truly wonderful to witness, but when it comes to Dez Bryant, this is a move that seems unnecessary to even consider.
