DPS: Two Dead in Parmer County Plane Crash Sunday Evening

COSHOCTON COUNTY, Ohio- The FAA is investigating a deadly plane crash that claimed the lives of two people Monday morning in Coshocton County.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration and the Texas Department of Public Safety, the plane crashed in a cornfield approximately 8 miles west of Friona.

A spokesperson from the airport said they were not aware of the planes destination.

Friends and family of 22-year-old Helena Lagos describe her as having a lively personality and being an entrepreneur who was going to do big things. The crash occurred on private property with no roads to get to the crash site.

"It was hard because there are no roads leading to the crash site", Sgt. Orlando Moreno with the Texas Department of Public Safety said. No structures were threatened.

Responding officers are working to confirm what kind plane it is, reporting it as "unrecognizable" after being engulfed in flames.
