HMD Global to Launch Nokia X, an Apple iPhone X Android Alternative

They also say that it can be a smartphone middle class, and not a competitor to the iPhone X. The latest reports suggest the company is looking to launch yet another smartphone - called the Nokia X - on April 27 in China. The teasers were spotted and captured by ITHome. HMD Global will remain tight lipped about this device and it may come up with a surprise launch as it will be an important smartphone in the company's portfolio.

The advertisement contains no mention of any specification of any kind neither the design element is easily inferred. It is also unknown if the phone will be launched globally or be restricted only to China & some of the other Asian markets. There haven't even been any leaks/rumours about the device so far.

In February 2014, Nokia had debuted the X-series Android smartphones consisting of the Nokia X, X+, and XL models.

HMD is known to bring back old Nokia phones in the market in new avatar- just like it did with Nokia 3310 and Nokia 8810.

Instead, it will be more of an upper mid-range handset, while the next top-tier smartphone from HMD Global is still expected to be the Nokia 9. However, advertisements have started cropping up in China for a new, unreleased device, which everyone is calling the "Nokia X".
