J. Cole Announces New Album to Drop This Week

Cole got fans super hyped on Monday when he announced that he was dropping a new album this Friday (4/20) called K.O.D.

"KOD" will be Cole's fifth studio album, following up his 2016 LP "4 Your Eyes Only". A free show, thousands rushed to the Midtown Manhattan venue where fans could attend on a first come first served basis. KOD, one can assume, is the name of the album, though there's no confirmation as of yet. The flyer for the show also warned that no cameras, bags, or phones would be allowed.

The new album KOD drops on Friday (April 20). No Bags. No Press List. "No guess list", it read. The news surfaced following Cole's special concert Monday night in NYC, where he gave some lucky fans a first listen to the upcoming album.

Complex is suggesting that the album has three subtitles:"Kidz on Drugz", "Kid Overdose" and "Kill Our Demonz".

No further information was made available from the Dreamville camp, but Rap Radar's B. Dot tweeted some insight on what to expect from the next release that B. Dot says was recorded in two weeks.
