Malema lambastes 'crocodile tears' over Winnie Mandela

"They are crying the loudest more than all of us who cared for you‚" he said.

Today Malema is Zuma's bitterest political enemy, and his joining the fight to oust Zuma from the presidency was a bittersweet victory for the young opposition leader. He continued: "You [Mama Winnie] trusted that your mission of putting the country first was embraced by an organization you loved but Mama you did not know that your organization had been rendered incapable of loving you back".

"Mama, the widows of Marikana are still in tears".

Images are circulating online of Julius Malema and Mbuyiseni Ndlozi surrounded by members of the army and police, allegedly after three EFF leaders were denied entry to the Fourways Memorial Park.

Ramaphosa said he would propose to the ANC's national executive committee that Madikizela-Mandela be given the ANC's highest honour of Isitwalandwe/Seaparankwe, which is given to those who have made an outstanding contribution and sacrifice to the liberation struggle.

"And to those of you who vilified my mother through books, on speeches, and on social media, don't even think for a minute that we have forgotten". What must we tell them?

The send-off the country gave Winnie was as good as we have seen and something to be proud of as a nation.

"Just as Mam' Winnie has united us in sorrow, let us honour her memory by uniting in common goal".

Malema, who sat with Madikizela-Mandela's family and other dignitaries, responded to Ramaphosa with a smile. She took on the most evil and powerful regime of the past century.

"The pain inflicted on her lives on in us".

A trade unionist in Africa, Comrade Issa Aremu, has urged African leaders to immortalise the late Winnie Madikizela Mandela, and sustain the legacies of the antiapartheid freedom fighter.

Malema said despite his grief at her loss‚ he was comforted in the way she died‚ adding that she did not sell out her people to the apartheid regime.
