The Funniest Tweets About Sean Hannity Being Michael Cohen's Third Client

Hannity and Cohen did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Business Insider.

Photographers knocked over barricades as they scrambled in the streets outside the Manhattan courthouse to snap pictures of her as she arrived in a lavender-coloured skirt and jacket. Also on hand was adult-film star Stormy Daniels, whom Cohen secretly paid $130,000 in 2016 to keep quiet the details of an alleged sexual liaison she had with Trump.

And it turns out, that client is none other than Fox News host Sean Hannity.

While speculation grows about how Sean Hannity may have been working with Michael Cohen, there is new attention on Hannity's wife.

Prosecutors with the United States attorney's office in Manhattan said they have a "filter team" of lawyers separate from those involved in the investigation in place to review the documents for any communications between Cohen and his clients.

"We have been friends a long time". But Judge Kimba Wood made one of the lawyers identify him in open court.

The letter says that from 1996 to 2006, Cohen had hundreds of clients, adding that he did not know if any material from those old clients were in the seized files.

Cohen was set to attend Monday's hearing. Ms Daniels quietly took a seat towards the back of the public gallery with her lawyer, Michael Avenatti.

Failing that, they want the court to appoint an independent official known as a special master, a role typically filled by a lawyer, to go through the documents and electronic data seized under a warrant and decide what prosecutors can see.

Cohen is asking for the review to be conducted by a court-appointed attorney.

But that didn't hold up with Wood, who insisted that the third client's name be disclosed publicly at Monday's hearing.

Hannity's name was revealed in federal court on Monday.

A federal judge on Monday ordered the release of the name of President Donald Trump's longtime lawyer Michael Cohen's third client. Another was a Republican fundraiser who admitted to paying a former Playboy model after she became pregnant during their affair.

Last week's raids came after a "months-long" investigation related largely to Mr Cohen's business dealings, rather than his work as a lawyer, prosecutors have said.

"It is clear, as I have been warning, Mueller is out to get the president and it appears at any cost", he said referring to the Department of Justice special counsel investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election and possible obstruction of justice by the Trump White House.

The president has called Mr Mueller's probe a "witch hunt" and denied any collusion.

Cohen's attorneys said the client did not want to be associated with their client.
