Xiaomi Releases Video Ad For Mi 6X

The Mi 6X may or may not be the Mi A2, but, many would be banking on it. But a new rumour of a different smartphone has surfaced. After reducing the price, now Moto G5S price has come down in comparison to Redmi Note 5.

Chaps going by the name of in XDA forums have unearthed certain firmware files that have leaked important details about an upcoming Xiaomi smartphone going by the name of Redmi S2. Notably, the phone will also feature portrait mode and face unlock too.

The Redmi S2 will be exclusive to China and India only, and the device might launch in India first before heading to its home market in China. There's no mention of a tentative launch date, but expect Xiaomi to unveil it sometime soon as the leaks of the device have already started flowing here and there.

As per the report, the Redmi S2 will have a 18:9 HD+ (1440×720p) display.

When it comes to the specifications, the Mi 6X is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor clocked at 2.2GHz. Xiaomi has used SD 625 on several of their midrange devices, and it is known for striking a balance between performance and efficiency. To the front, we might see a 5MP Samsung S5K5E8 sensor doing the job of capturing selfies and video calls.

The device will sport a 5MP Samsung S5K5E8 sensor, which will come with support for Face Unlock. It looks like the main camera will be borrowed straight from Redmi Note 5 Pro.

There will probably be one 16GB storage variant. The firmware does indicate that it'll have a microSD card slot at the very least. And thanks to the many optimizations introduced in Android Oreo (this device is running Android 8.1 Oreo), we know that apps won't be able to cause memory thrashing in the background or guzzle up the battery by running unwanted background services. It will also run Android Oreo and pack a 2910mAh battery. The company is working on bringing the device nearly a month after the company announced its Redmi 5 in the market.
