Harrison Ford Enjoyed Solo: A Star Wars Story

Even though he played one of Star Wars' most iconic characters, Ford was never a fan of Star Wars, which is part of the reason why he insisted that his character be killed off early in the new trilogy.

"And I said, 'Well, I love Han, ' and they sort of hit my button, you know?"

Harrison Ford has a very special place in many a Star Wars fans' hearts as the original Han Solo, so the stakes were high for the Solo film. Kasdan explained. "I was told that I could do anything I wanted with it, and that was kind of irresistible. It took off from there".

Franchise veteran Lawrence Kasdan, who co-wrote The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, told ComicBook.com he was involved with a Han Solo spinoff before George Lucas sold the company. While Ehrenreich was doing an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ford crashed the interview to give his blessings to the film and Ehrenreich's performance.

"I was also helping with [Episode VII], and then it turned out I was writing VII with JJ". "I just thought it was spectacular", he said.

Jonathan and Lawrence are proud of the film they have created, and it seems like they could team up for a future film in this potential franchise.

Soon, fans will be able to decide for themselves if the spin-off is good or not when Solo A Star Wars Story releases Friday May 25. Of course, before Han Solo came. Also in this mega-sized RFR, Donald Glover brings Lando to SNL, Mark Hamill attends a wedding on THE BIG BANG THEORY, we hear the voice of Enfys Nest for the first time, and the story of how Swank got stuck in Chicago.
