JR Smith Shoves Al Horford in Celtics-Cavaliers Game 2

The Cleveland Cavaliers guard dangerously hit Horford while the Celtics center was in the air.

He got into Smith's face - not the first time that the Cavaliers and Celtics butted heads in the game - and kept the arena charged with an energy that seemed to buoy the team late in the fourth quarter, making the game all but unwinnable. Smith was also assessed a flagrant foul for his push on Horford. Smith pushed Smart away, starting a brief shoving match before teammates and personnel intervened. Smith wasn't exactly engaged in the second half of this game and is now averaging 2.0 points on 2-of-16 shooting after two games in the series. May. Celtics fans starting a potty-mouthed chant toward Smith during the review, and Smart called him a "bully" after the game. He can't control how his body goes, and he's not even looking, and you go and take two hands to the back. "He's known for it, especially playing against us". That's not the first time JR has done some dirty stuff, especially playing against us. "You can't allow that to keep happening". Indeed, emotions were running high during the game as the Celtics badly want to eliminate the Cavs after years of being owned by LeBron James and the postseason. "One of my guys was down and I took offense to it". He could very well have been ejected from the game. His five quick points after the play helped the Celtics secure a 107-94 win and a 2-0 series lead.

Smith said there was no malicious intent on the play.
