Nokia X6 launched in China: Price, specifications and more

HMD Global is bringing another classic Nokia phone brand back from the dead, but unlike the reimagined 3310 and 8110 "dumb" handsets, the new Android-powered X6 has no obvious relation with 2009's music-oriented Symbian OS smartphone. The company has opted for a design with a glass back with an aluminum metal frame on the sides. It is not as premium as the Nokia 8 Sirocco based on the specifications and price and can be placed in the mid-range segment. It comes in three variants - 4GB RAM + 32GB storage, 3GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage. The display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The Nokia X6 is officially priced at CNY1,299 (Rs 13,800 approx) for the 4 GBRAM + 32 GB internal storage variant, at CNY 1,499 (Rs 16,000 approx) for the 4 GBRAM+64 GBinternal storage variant and at CNY1,699 (Rs 18,100 approx.) for the 6 GBRAM+ 64 GBinternal storage variant. There is expected to be 32GB/ 64GB onboard storage, expandable up to 128GB. All of the cameras are aided by some nifty AI tricks - background blur, face recognition, dynamic expression and filters. When it comes to selfies, the X6 has a 16-megapixel front camera, similar to the main rear shooter, and has the same f/2.0 aperture and 1-micron pixel sensor. Other features include a 3060mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 where the company claims that users can charge up to 50 percent in 30 minutes.

Nokia X6 price and availability Nokia X6 can be pre-booked in China from the company's own website and some third-party online retailers. It will be made available in White, Black and Blue colour variants.

In terms of connectivity, the phone features a dual SIM setup with 4G VoLTE radios, an FM Radio, USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

HMD Global, says that it is committed to the China market, and has further announced that they will setup a global mobile center at Shenzhen in China, which will focus on research.
