Primary Runoff Election Turnout May Be Lower Than School Bond Election

A process which, locally in Gaines County, includes only one contested race - the Democratic nomination for Texas Governor.

For the May 22 runoff, Stein says he's watching the Republican runoff for retiring Congressman Ted Poe's seat in District 2 and the Democratic runoff to decide who will take on incumbent Congressman John Culberson in competitive District 7.

The five early voting locations in Brazos County are the elections administration office, Arena Hall, Galilee Baptist Church, the city of College Station Utilities meeting and training facility, and the Texas A&M memorial student center. Valdez is the former sheriff of Dallas County.

Democratic party supporters from across the state of Texas will head to the polls early this week ahead of next Tuesday's runoff off election process. Mike Toth and Donna Davidson are running for the Republican party nominee in November for Justice, Place 6 on the Texas third Court of Appeals.

1,712 Tom Green County democrats voted for Governor in the March 6 primary; Andrew White got 566 votes while Valdez received 571 votes. Only residents of Precinct 4 can vote in that race.

The primary elections for Nueces County voters are not over.

Election Day is May 22.
