Tidal will debut an unreleased Prince album in 2019

It looks like the Prince estate and Jay Z have repaired the bridge that previously seemed oh so burnt. Before his death, Prince began working on his memoir, The Beautiful Ones, and the 50-pages he completely before his untimely death will be released later this year.

The estate of the late rock icon Prince and Jay-Z's TIDAL announced plans to debut previously unreleased Prince music on the streaming music platform.

More words from Jay-Z in the announcement: "After thoughtful and honest conversation with him, [Prince] chose TIDAL as his partner for HITnRUN Phase One and HITnRUN Phase Two, and we will continue to respect and honor Prince's enduring legacy and wishes with this new collection".

Troy Carter, the entertainment advisor for the estate, said that he and Prince's family are looking forward to the partnership with Tidal.

This new album will draw from material recorded after 1996, since it can not involve any of Prince's music subject to prior agreements with Warner Brothers Records. He also negotiated a deal with JAY-Z's service to exclusively stream his album HITNRUN: Phase One for the first 90 days of release. The Prince Estate arranged the late legend's music to be available on Apple, Spotify and other streaming services prior to the Grammys a year ago.

New music from Prince will be hitting the airwaves.

It seems that the relationship has been repaired as this forthcoming Prince record will stream exclusively on Tidal for two weeks before a wider release. In his home in Paisley Park, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer kept a vault in which he archived his works over the course of his entire life. The agreement between TIDAL and The Prince Estate was approved on May 9th by the Probate Court overseeing The Prince Estate.
