The White House said the procedure was "successful" and there were no complications. The outlet also reported that President Donald Trump remained at the White House during his wife's surgery, but that he's expected to visit the hospital soon.

The first lady (48) underwent an "embolisation" procedure at Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre outside Washington on Monday morning, her office announced.

The first lady lived full time in NY during the administration's opening months so Barron would not have to change schools midyear.
