Antoine Griezmann's inner circle wants him to stay at Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid ace Antoine Griezmann has declared he's made a decision about his future - but will not announcement it.

The 22-year-old is now at the World Cup with France, who are due to play their first game of the tournament on Saturday against Australia.

Frank Leboeuf has his say about the future of Antoine Griezmann, saying he might be better suited for a move away from Spain.

Griezmann is part of the France squad for this summer's World Cup squad and will be a key part of the team going into the tournament, in which they are one of the favourites.

But he told a news conference: "I apologise - I am really very sorry".

The duo are being interviewed at the same time, reeling off names of their favourite players as the presenter says: 'They are so cute we can not refuse them anything'.

So despite the temptation to play with Lionel Messi at Barcelona, most signs point to Griezmann staying put. "Yes, I have already made a decision about my future".

But Griezmann said Tuesday he had nothing to announce, and Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo says that's because Barcelona, Atleti, and the player are waiting for July 1, when his release clause changes from $267 million to $133.5 million.

Monaco forward Thomas Lemar is set to sign for Atletico Madrid in the coming days.

Griezmann has scored 112 goals and assisted a further 40 strikes in 209 games for Atletico since his arrival at the Vicente Calderon in 2014.
