Cyberpunk 2077 Story Details Revealed

Camera viewpoint aside, players will be able to create their own character (male or female) and select a unique backstory for them by generating a "lifepath", a carry-over from 2077's pen-and-paper roots.

CD Projekt Red has stated numerous times that it's fully committed to creating a single-player role-playing game with Cyberpunk 2077, and that stance hasn't changed in time for E3 2018.

"She takes on takes on unsafe jobs-he or she, actually", said Rowley. Cyberpunk 2077 doesn't impose any player roles and allows for crafting and the free mixing of abilities across all available classes. "And obviously you can define your, what we're calling 'Life Path.' It's like a backstory, and the things you define in your life path, in your backstory, can modify or unlock things as you're playing through the game".

Furthermore, characters will have access to skills, perks, and attributes which will govern how they interact with the world.

Fluid Class System - Become a Netrunner, Techie or Solo... or a mix of all three. As explained by the developer, players will "experience all of it entirely through V's eyes", which is a reference to the title being in first-person. Speaking of the elements which made Witcher 3 special, they said that they will be looking to replicate the immersion and detail and also quest system which was present in Witcher 3 and which made it a success. If you want to keep abreast pf any developments, head to the game's official website. Dialogue options are also included, and you'll be able to level up something called "Street Cred" as you progress. They are not looking to build a save-the-world kinda story, but they will rather have a story with a similar vein as the Witcher 3.

As far as exploration goes, CD Projekt Red has emphasized verticality with Cyberpunk 2077. These multi-floor behemoths will include their own societies, vendors, quest givers and more. It's not clear how this system will be enforced, but CD Projekt Red says your street cred can be raised by wearing certain clothing.
