Fortnite For Nintendo Switch Allegedly Hits Tomorrow, The Question Is When?

Fortnite has quickly become the year's biggest game phenomenon, quickly surpassing rival battle royale shooter Player Unknown Battlegrounds in popularity and bringing in a ton of revenue. The game's battle royale mode, which has taken the world by storm, will now be playable on the Nintendo hybrid console.

This is a ideal chance for both new and old players of Fortnite to enjoy the game while they're on-the-go or on the big screen in the comfort of their own home.

Revealed during Nintendo's E3 2018 livestream, the hugely popular online multiplayer game should be available to download for free. Pope went on to say that he has never seen anything as "potentially damaging" to children as Fortnite addiction. Earlier in the year, a mobile port was released that let players face off against PC opponents. It's available to download and play today, starting at 10:00 a.m. PT. However, it's worth pointing out that millions of people play Fortnite daily, and that cases like these are the outlier, not the norm, so fans of the game shouldn't have to worry about it ever actually being banned.

Fortnite is a free game and kids can also make up their own teams.

Nintendo announced the news on Tuesday morning during its annual briefing at E3, the video game industry trade show held in Los Angeles.

Yes, after weeks and weeks of speculation, Nintendo has officially confirmed that Fortnite is coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Fortnite is immediately available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and both Android and Apple iOS devices. Other items of note are that the game will of course support add-on content, with V-Bucks and the Wingman Starter Pack being prominently listed.
