Game of Thrones Jon Snow to marry on-screen flame

The Game of Thrones stars walked down the aisle today in a church situated close to Wardhill Castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland and many of their co-stars were in attendance.

They Wednesday at a church on the grounds of Leslie's family's estate, with the bride wearing a long-sleeve ivory dress with lace embellishments, a floral headpiece and long veil, while the groom wore a morning suit.

Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen on Game Of Thrones was also among the guests wearing a pink coat and a summery pink dress.

The reception for the wedding is being held at Wardhill Castle nearby in Aberdeenshire.

The actors met in 2012 while filming the long-running saga in Iceland, where they were playing Jon Snow and Ygritte.

Leslie's character was killed two years after being introduced, while Harington went on to become one of the most popular (and highest paid) actors on TV in the subsequent seasons.

Speaking outside the castle Sebastian Leslie said: "We are absolutely thrilled for Kit and Rose to be marrying today".

"The country is handsome. the Northern Lights are magical.it was there that I fell in love", he said.

The couple, who met on set in 2012, announced the engagement in the Times newspaper last September, and the wedding date was submitted to the local registry office last month.

"I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff, but we were in the country and we were sort of under this handsome night sky and had a log fire burning and red wine and".

Harington told L'Uomo Vogue it was "easy" to fall in love with his co-star.

"The country is lovely ... the northern lights are magical ... it was there that I fell in love", he said. Her father is the Aberdeenshire Chieftain of Clan Leslie. "There's just too much to do", she said.
