How Rihanna helped Anne Hathaway embrace her post-baby body

She went on to say that the film was extra significant for her because it was her first time to be on set following the birth of her son.

The 35-year-old actress chats on Thursday's edition of Ellen about the massive support she received from her famous co-stars in the ensemble film, in which she plays the role of Daphne Kluger.

She talked about walking onto the set on the first day, dressed in jeans having done the best to make herself up. Well, it appears Sandra Bullock was not happy about the backlash the film received and she made a decision to address those who disliked the Ghostbusters film. Why do I feel so (expletive)?

Then, Cate Blanchett chimed in, telling the Oscar victor, "Nice jeans, Hathaway" (in a laconic Aussie drawl, according to Hathaway's impersonation). "I, of course, was freaked out and loved it so much and I was like, 'Really?' And she goes, "You got an a- like me!". You got an a-!'" Hathaway recalled.

Oceans 8 is stacked with talent, as Bullock stars in the film alongside actors like Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Awkwafina, Sarah Paulson, and Helena Bonham Carter.

"It was hard for me, because I walked with blinders on through life and got to where I (felt) like I was less than because I was a woman", she says.

In what should have come as a surprise to absolutely no one, Rihanna showed up to the world premiere of Ocean's 8 looking criminally flawless. "And that was in the middle of when I was getting work - I didn't want to be a part of that world where there was that experience", she said. 'And the director [Gary Ross] told me, "That's great, we have eight women in this movie and need to have as many body types as we can"'.

Critics say they're all put to solidly entertaining use in this light caper; as with the more recent Ocean's installments, all that star power - and the charisma of the stars - is often enough to carry the movie even when the plot isn't as dazzlingly smart as it thinks.
