Kane agrees new six-year Tottenham contract

But those rumours have been shot down with the signing of a new six-year contract.

Spurs will now be hoping more players follow suit by committing their future ahead of the planned stadium move later this year.

The 24-year-old will head into this month's World Cup full of confidence after being made permanent captain by Gareth Southgate last month.

He scored 41 goals in all competitions throughout the campaign, including a personal best of 30 in the Premier League.

Chairman Daniel Levy is adapting his stringent wage structure at the club to ensure his stars don't push to leave, and this will prove to be vitally important as Spurs prepare to move into their brand new stadium.

Kane can expect to take home more than double the £110,000 per week that he now earns at Tottenham, bringing him on par with some of the Premier League's best-paid stars.

Tottenham are due to return to White Hart Lane next season, after a season as playing at Wembley.

Kane is believed to have received a bumper pay rise by signing a new long-term contract at Tottenham.

Kane's new deal comes just two weeks after manager Mauricio Pochettino signed a new five-year contract with the club. He's established himself as one of the most prolific goal scorers in world football in recent years, finding the net 108 times in 150 appearances in the English top flight.
