Mesut Ozil dropped from Germany starting XI to face Sweden

Germany now need points against Sweden ahead of facing South Korea.

Midfielder EmIl Forsberg says Sweden can "throw" Germany out of the World Cup by beating Joachim Low's men in Sochi on Saturday. The defending world champions come into Saturday's game in Sochi with their hopes of reaching the last 16 hanging by a thread after losing their opening match 1-0 against Mexico. Lothar Matthaeus, the 1990 World Cup-winning captain, said he hadn't seen a Germany team "so weak at a big tournament for a long time" following the loss in Moscow.

'With Ozil on the pitch I often have the feeling that he doesn't feel at ease in the DFB shirt, that he isn't free, nearly as if he doesn't want to join in the game at all, ' he told Bild.

The World Cup match between Germany and Sweden will be broadcast live on FOX. The defeat leaves the reigning world champions in danger of an early exit and Low has chose to make changes to his team.

Ozil trained without problems this week. Jonas Hector, Antonio Rudiger and Sebastian Rudy also get called up in place of Marvin Plattenhardt, Mats Hummels and Sami Khedira. "The pressure is terrifically high, but we won't win both games if we beat ourselves up internally and look for the mistakes in each other", said Mueller, with Germany to meet South Korea in their final match.
