Witnesses told The Sun, the thieves had to hit the auto window multiple times before it smashed, and that McIntyre initially put up a fight. His publicist also told The Sun: "Michael was involved in an incident involving armed robbers".

Police said two men smashed the window of the comedian's stationary Range Rover in Golders Green before stealing belongings, thought to be his wallet and Rolex watch.

Witnesses on the scene at the time have since reported that Michael attempted to fight off the burglars, before they eventually stole his watch, reported to be worth around £15,000.

His Range Rover, with the shattered window, was not outside his home; and his wife was driving a silver-grey Range Rover sport courtesy auto.

Despite the scary incident, Michael's PR Gary Farrow has insisted that the comedian is "fine". "One man was on the bike and the other was either attacking or fighting Michael McIntyre".

Pictures published in the press appear to show McIntyre consoling his son while surrounded by onlookers and police. Michael fell however he was nonetheless attempting to place up a combat.

'I just remember one of the bikers trying to get something.

His agent issued saying McIntyre was "absolutely fine".

Police said no injury was reported and no one was arrested.

They added that they were called at 13:59 BST on June 4 to reports of a robbery in North End Road.

Terrifyingly, it's thought that Michael's 10-year-old son Oscar was also in the auto, having just been picked up by his father. Witnesses said the comedian also spent two hours talking with police, during which they safely removed the broken glass from the auto, before he drove home.
