Michael Myers Has Returned! The HALLOWEEN Trailer is Upon Us!

After much anticipation, Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions have revealed the first trailer for Halloween! Michael isn't her brother, she points out (this was only established in Halloween 2 so the trailer is making it very clear this is knocking out all further sequels including H20) and he's been in prison for 40 years.

Michael Myers, the infamous masked murderer and the face of the Halloween film franchise, has returned in his full freaky glory in the first trailer for director David Gordon Green's forthcoming Halloween reboot. "He and I were hoping that would happen, because he even said, 'This is the passing of the torch'".

Master of horror John Carpenter will executive produce and serve as creative consultant on this film, joining forces with cinema's current leading producer of horror, Jason Blum (Get Out, Split, The Purge, Paranormal Activity).

After numerous sequels and Rob Zombie's controversial remakes, the Halloween franchise needed a boost. The film also helped the acting career of Jamie Lee Curtis, whose performance as the terrorized Laurie Strode has scared audiences for four decades. Everyone who's come here has come here to honor Halloween 1978.

Carpenter hasn't put his name on a "Halloween" movie since having a producer credit on 1982's "Halloween III: Season of the Witch".

But after his escape, he has only one thing on his mind: finishing what he started all those Halloweens ago. Now, Michael Myers, the boogeyman from the first film, is back, and he has his sights set not just on Laurie, but also her family, with Judy Greer playing Laurie's daughter, and Andi Matichak playing Laurie's granddaughter. But the new Halloween seems to be ignoring these characters.
