Philippines’ Duterte says will quit if enough women protest his kiss

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte's mouth has landed him in hot water again, this time for kissing a married woman on the lips in front of thousands of his cheering supporters.

Opposition Senator Risa Hontiveros said that even though the kiss was consensual, it was a "grave abuse of authority".

Kim, who said the kiss was without malice, told government-run Philippine News Agency that she was happy because it was "a once in a lifetime experience".

Duterte's controversial remarks about women include several public jokes about rape.

As the woman laughed nervously, the President leaned in to kiss the woman on the lips.

Sereno denied the charges and said the move was politically motivated after she angered Duterte by speaking out about his drug war. He inquired if she could explain to her husband that what they were about to do was just a joke.

MANILA-President Rodrigo Duterte arrived in Manila late Tuesday night following his 3-day visit in South Korea, and he said he vomited during the flight home because of migraine.

Commenters also defined the stunt as Duterte's "perverted way" of taunting female critics who had been loudly protesting against him for making questionable comments of a sexual nature.

Two women went up the stage, and Duterte told them to share the book.

The first lady bussed the President on the cheek while the second lady agreed to be kissed on the lips.

Roque noted that the President has invited Korea to invest in the government's "Build, Build, Build" program, a massive project to modernize the country's roads, railways, bridges, airports, and other infrastructure projects. He also mentioned that the kiss was "what makes the President popular among our people".

"Don't take it seriously".

The presidential palace defended the kiss saying there was "no malice" in his actions and the recipient was "honoured".

The women were visibly star struck standing next to Duterte. He then hugged her. "It's just to give people fun".

He added that he expected his two daughters, one with his former wife and another with his current partner, to confront him about the incident.
