Resident Evil 2 Remake Gameplay Demo Coming To E3 2018

The showcase, not to be confused with the announcement trailer that was also released, shows all the Zombie gore that Resident Evil fans have been wanting from this legendary game remake. But now there's a second trailer that actually features more action, as we get to see some gameplay for the first time ever.

"Simply put, without PlayStation, there wouldn't be Resident Evil!". Given the new controls and camera, it sounds as if this could feel a lot like Resident Evil 4. However, it's possible that the system has been tweaked in some way to accommodate for improvements or even just the highly cinematic nature of the original Resident Evil 2 camera system.

"The original 1998 PlayStation game is fondly remembered by people all over the world". In the first video, the game appears to adopt Resident Evil 4's over-the-shoulder perspective as Leon S. Kennedy reports to the Raccoon City Police Department on the day a zombie outbreak has claimed nearly everyone.

In a press release, Capcom said the "game has been completely rebuilt from the ground up for a deeper narrative experience". Players join rookie police officer Leon Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield, who are thrust together by a disastrous outbreak in Raccoon City that transformed its population into deadly zombies. Capcom has also modernized the controls, which should make it considerably easier to play than the original title. Zombies now react in real time as they take instant visible damage, making every bullet from the player count.

Fans of the Resident Evil franchise will be pleased to see the quality of the remade RE2 game: it looks like an entirely new game, one far more playable than the original on the newest consoles.

In any case, the Resident Evil 2 remake looks like it's going to be worth the unbelievably long wait.
