Ronaldo and Neymar could play for Madrid together - Marcelo

The reigning Ballon d'Or victor claimed he will be talking about his future in the days to come, but is yet to reaffirm the club's fans that he is staying in Spain for another year.

Real Madrid star Marcelo believes Neymar will join the club at some stage in his career and said not even Cristiano Ronaldo could stand in the way of such a transfer.

According to a report from ESPN, Ronaldo is "determined" to end his nine-year stay in the Spanish capital, but will only make a switch to clubs playing in particular competitions.

The front page of Diario Record has a photograph of Ronaldo with the headline: "Ronaldo will leave Real - Irreversible decision". "It has been very nice being at Real Madrid".

"I'm a big fan of Ronaldo as well, but I think Messi is the greatest ever".

"The future of any Madrid player is not important, we have just made history".

Ronaldo, who hit 15 goals in Real's Champions League-winning campaign after a slow start, starred during Portugal's 3-0 win over Algeria in their pre-World Cup warm-up in Lisbon on June 7. The newspaper also alleged that the Real Madrid dressing room had turned on him after the antics in Kiev, which soured what should have been a fantastic evening.

The world-record signing, at almost £200m, had a high-profile spat with Edinson Cavani over penalty taking duties, and Unai Emery found it hard to manage the big characters in the dressing room.

In football, cash is king, and while the World Cup is a welcome break for most of us from the ludicrous transfer fees and ever rising price of replica shirts, there's still an bad lot of money involved.

Ronaldo has had a least a share of the Champions League scoring title in six straight seasons, and said as much after the win in the Champions League final as part of his brewing frustration.

Jose Mourinho's men are one of the few sides in world football that could afford both Real Madrid's valuation of Bale and the Welshman's wages.
