Storm chances and heat to finish out the weekend

Storm chances and heat to finish out the weekend

High heat and humidity will combine with a weak front moving into the region through the rest of the day.

Monday's overall rain chance stands at 50 percent, according to the weather service. In fact model differences bring low confidence on best timing for rain in an area. Highs for the week will be mostly in the mid to upper 80's with lows in the upper 60's. Wind: S 10-20; gusty. While that's great news for the outdoors activities, we could us some rain around here, as the last 6 weeks have been quite dry overall. Then by Friday, another front gets close and will increase our rain chances for Friday and Saturday before pushing offshore for the weekend.

There will be a chance of showers and storms each day this week. Lows fall all the way into the lower 60s! Scattered showers and storms will continue to move south into North Texas through early afternoon. If you have or want to make any plans to be outdoors because it'll be "cool" just be weather aware the chance of storms exists and use caution. Beyond Wednesday, rain chances become minimal as high temperatures creep back into the 90s for the second half of the week.

The weekend features a more typical summer pattern with highs in the upper 80s and only isolated shower/storm chances on Sunday.
