- The company that creates Ritz Cracker products has issued a voluntarily recall in the USA due to a possible Salmonella scare.

Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems.

The recall includes certain Riz Cracker sandwiches and Ritz Bitz products that contain whey powder as an ingredient.

Healthy people infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.

Anyone with questions can contact the company directly Monday through Friday from 6 a.m.to 3 p.m. local time at 844-366-1171.
