Duchess Kate and Meghan are 'closer than ever'

But the 73-year-old tells The Sun he's determined to speak to his daughter and be accepted by the Royal Family. Throughout the game, Kate leaned in to chat with her new sister-in-law and the two women were seen sharing hearty laughs.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Thomas was quoted saying his daughter is struggling to cope and its showing in her smile. If she'll meet Donald Trump, why not me? "I don't like the one I'm seeing right now".

He continued: "This one isn't even a stage smile - this is a pained smile".

Last week, the newly-wed couple returned from their two-day trip to Ireland. In a rapid-fire style interview for Suits in August 2016, Meghan was asked what she cooks to impress someone and, although she grew up in sunny LA, it seems Meghan has always been British at heart.

But, since then, the retired lighting director has continuously said the brunette beauty is "unhappy" being part of the royal family and slammed the couple for cutting him out.

"Anyone who makes a profit off the royal family becomes shunned", he said.

What do U think, Perezcious readers?!

The new royal is being isolated from her former life, said her dad, who added that's he's been frozen out by the family over his staged-photo debacle.

Thomas also criticised the royal family for not gathering around Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, at the royal wedding.

"Does this make any sense to you or anyone else?"

"I have had a fairly successful life. I'd find a hotel room and try to reach them". "I'm fairly outspoken about certain things but I'm no different to any other father".

On Tuesday, Meghan stepped out with Harry in a sleeveless pale pink trench dress by Canadian label NONIE - a dress she had already owned before becoming a royal - for the Nelson Mandela Centenary Exhibition in London. Instead, celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and Serena Williams filled out the church pews on the side opposite Harry's family.

"I thought that would be a nice way of improving my look". At the Young Leader Awards at Buckingham Palace last month, royal watchers were quick to notice she didn't adhere to the "duchess slant" royal ladies are supposed to exhibit while seated.
