Juventus paid £99.2m to sign Real Madrid's all-time record goalscorer - with Ronaldo leaving the Bernabeu with a barely believable record of 450 goals in 438 games.

Just five thousand fans were packed into the stadium in Villar Perosa, an estate owned by the Agnelli family which has hosted the friendly since 1955.

After the game, fans at the game, who had come in their numbers to catch a glimpse of their new number 7, flooded onto the pitch.

Such is the enthusiasm for Ronaldo's debut, that special security measures have been drafted in the town for the match, including a complete ban on the sale of alcohol from Saturday.

The match was called off after 72 minutes due to the annual tradition of fans running onto the pitch.

Although Ronaldo stated there was no specific moment that made his choice for him, he did reiterate his appreciation for Juve's fans after they applauded his overhead kick in Turin last season.

Juventus star, Cristiano Ronaldo has finally revealed why he chose to play for the Serie A champions.

After he had finished with his autograph duty, Ronaldo put his game face on and only took eight minutes to score his first goal in black and white.

His domestic form - despite scoring 26 goals in La Liga - was below the nearly superhuman levels that had characterised his time in Spain as Madrid finished third behind local rivals Atletico and a whole 17 points behind champions Barcelona.

July visits to the club museum shot up 15 percent compared to a year ago, and were almost a third more than in 2016, and the over 29,000 season tickets available to fans have been sold despite a deeply unpopular 30 percent price bump announced before Ronaldo's arrival.

Ronaldo didn't take part in the club's tour of the United States following his appearance at the World Cup, but took part in training last week with other squad members in Turin.
