DOOM Eternal Gets First Gameplay Footage At Quake-Con, Story Details Teased

This is a flawless moment to recover the two titles since they are fresh from the QuakeCon 2018 release of the two brand-new trailer for the gameplay sequel: RAGE 2 and DOOM Eternal.

Still, this gameplay trailer has given us plenty to get excited about, now all we have to do is play the waiting game! This is especially true when the dash combines with Doom Eternal's thrust boots, a holdover from the previous game that allows for double jumps. Destroy every demon in your path with an upgraded array of guns and mods, including the Super Shotgun's new Meat Hook attachment to pull yourself point blank with the faces of hell. Coupled with the grappling hook, movement in Doom Eternal takes the action to another level.

Doom Eternal gameplay was shown off at QuakeCon overnight, with a massive 25 minute video now available to view. And so, without further ado, you can find the gameplay trailer below.

Doom: Eternal will launch for PS4, XBox One, PC and the Nintendo Switch sometime in 2019 (hopefully early). Don't worry though - if you have enough trouble with Doom's AI demons, you can turn off invasions. And as always, hit that comment section, and let us know how you think DOOM Eternal is shaping up. You can see the extensive new gameplay below.

Bethesda said today that there are twice as many demons as there were the last time, and a number of the enemies from DOOM 2 are being updated for this game. Shortly after two of the game's top developers made their pitches and the footage got rolling, the lead character of the upcoming first-person shooter was ripping the heart out of an enemy and feeding it down its throat. However, in Eternal players can actually team up and invade other players as a group of demons.

There's no release date for DOOM Eternal yet, but more information will undoubtedly be surfacing in the coming months. Yep, Id isn't being shy about its Dark Souls inspiration here, literally sharing the same term for letting other players come charging into your world with the lone goal of killing you to death.
