Nutella maker wants to hire 60 taste testers

Ferrero, the company who owns the signature hazelnut spread, is looking for people to try their delicious product.

If you love Nutella - and let's face it, few of us don't - the maker of the famed Italian chocolate and hazelnut spread has a potential job for you. It's so popular that USA discount warehouse club chain Costco started offering its own version this year.

Ferrero has long had these sensory judges but the recent job posting on Openjobmetis was advertised specifically for regular folks outside the company after being exclusively held by company insiders for years.

This is the first time that Ferrero is looking to employ its customers for the roles, and all taste-testing will take place at the company headquarters in Alba, Piedmont in Italy, which is not a bad place to call home.

This email will be delivered to your inbox once a day in the morning.

The candidates will undergo three months of paid training to develop their senses of taste and smells, and they will also learn the proper terminology to describe each taste.

Once the training is complete, 40 people will be selected by Ferrero to join two tasting panels, where they will live out the dream of eating Nutella for money in Italy. Applicants must have no food allergies and must be familiar with using computers.
