Rio Ferdinand urges Man Utd not to sell Pogba

Rio Ferdinand urges Man Utd not to sell Pogba

Pogba, a key member of the French team that won the World Cup in Russian Federation last month, was part of United's youth set-up but, short of first-team opportunities, opted to join Juventus in 2012.

However, the report states Pogba is not to the point where he wishes to force a transfer, with three years left on his contract at Manchester United.

Pogba is now tempted to leave United for Barça - and it now seems clear that Mourinho is one of the main reasons why.

There is plenty of Manchester United and Arsenal gossip doing the rounds in the papers with the English giants linked with a whole host of star names ahead of deadline day.

However, Jose Mourinho will not give in to him and has already told both the player and his agent Mino Raiola that his future is in the Premier League and more specifically, at United. However, there have been constant rumors of the 25-year-old Pogba having bust-ups with manager Mourinho as the two clashed with their particular ego's.

Willian and Mourinho won a pair of Premier League titles at Stamford Bridge and the Brazil worldwide has been linked with a switch to Old Trafford. Is it too much to demand that the best-paid managers in the world should be able to make a talented group of players into something greater than the sum of their parts?

United shut down Barcelona's approach and have refused to entertain the prospect of Pogba leaving.

He goes on to report that United do not want to sell the "important" player as they see him as the franchise of the club. Barca offered £45million plus defender Yerry Mina and midfielder Andre Gomes for the World Cup winning playmaker, but the Red Devils turned it down.
