Samsung Galaxy Note9 is up for pre-order in India

The new Galaxy Note9 comes with the biggest screen ever on a Note, a 6.4-inch edge-to-edge Super AMOLED 516ppi display (without any notches) said to be great for productivity, multi-tasking and content consumption. USA pre-orders Start from 10 August (tomorrow) and pre-orders get a free pair of AKG noise-cancelling headphones (worth about $299) or 15,000 in Fortnite V-Bucks. Let us start, though, with Galaxy Watch price and availability.

You can click each image in the grid below to download one of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 wallpapers that catches your eye, or you can scroll a little further down and click the button to download all 12 in a ZIP file. There are two models available-one with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage, and another 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, both with a microSD card slot.

Fortnite was finally announced for Android today, but as an exclusive to Samsung Galaxy devices for the time being.

You won't find Apple's iPhone with varying price points when it goes on sale next month. You also still get to choose from the aforementioned bonus perks when preordering. The most important internal change is Samsung's new 4,000mAh battery - the Note 8 has a 3,300mAh cell.

But, from a safety standpoint, there was no way around it. Samsung shared the findings of an investigation into the phone with the wider industry in an effort to make sure the lithium-ion batteries we all walk around with in our pockets stay flame-free. In turn, it makes the Note 9 slightly more appealing.

The new model maintains the S9's dual-camera setup on the rear, with 12MP sensors and the ability to switch between f/1.5 and 2.4 apertures to suit the ambient lighting conditions, together with Optical Image Stabilisation to help keep things crisp. The Note 9 will get an update... eventually.

Under standard usage, such as LT, Bluetooth, messaging and some music streaming the battery can last up to 80 hours, which eliminates the need for daily charging. Thanks to this connectivity option you can use the S Pen as a remote for taking selfies or group photos, slide presentation control, movie transport control and more.

For professionals and enterprise users, the Note can run in DeX mode via just an HDMI cable, rather than requiring a hefty proprietary dock, as before.

We are still waiting to hear whether the cellular versions will work with non Samsung phones.

"The pricing will play a bigger role in deciding whether Samsung wants to fight the Chinese players or continue its focus on the premium customers in India", Meena emphasised. Again, I didn't have chance to check the limits of functionality and compatibility with iOS on the hands-on session, so again it will be worth holding off for T3's full Galaxy Watch review.
