Trump disparaged son, Harriet Tubman, says former White House aides book

Sanders' statement was part of a defense against claims by former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman that Trump made racist statements. Some are backed up with audio recordings.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said during Tuesday's press briefing that she "can't guarantee" that we will never hear a recording of President Donald Trump saying the N-word, in reply to a barrage of questions about the book.

Still, the former reality TV star-turned-political aide declined to answer several questions about her experiences during her year as the highest-ranking African-American aide in Trump's White House, citing the arbitration action.

In a joint statement after Manigault Newman's appearance on CBS, Pierson and Patton said that "no one ever denied the existence of conversations about a reported "Apprentice" tape" and that they occurred because "Omarosa was obsessed with it". "Other than the disclosing of classified information, which is a crime in and of itself and has nothing to do with a nondisclosure agreement, I don't know how you hold a public employee, a government employee accountable to a nondisclosure agreement". Manigault Newman claims to have asked President Trump shortly after the shoving incident.

"She's drawing a direct line of comparison between herself and other black women Trump has attacked", Rigueur said.

While Kelly says her infractions would have gotten her court-martialed in the military, "if we make this a friendly departure ... you can look at your time here in the White House as a year of service to the nation and then you can go on without any type of difficulty in the future, relative to your reputation". A person familiar with the White House response to the investigation said that at no time prior to her departure did the Mueller team request documents related to her or seek an interview with her.

Manigault Newman has been associated with Trump for more than a decade.

"I remember thinking it's better this way", Kimmel recalled.

Her allegations put Trump allies on their heels and clearly got under the president's skin. Trump later tried to convince her that he was kidding but she believes he was serious at the time, she wrote. She writes that Trump drinks eight cans of Diet Coke each day and spends his mornings laying in a tanning bed that has been installed at the White House.

Here's the tweet Trump posted on Tuesday, in advance of Newman's tell-all book Unhinged being released. For example, in her book she says she spoke to a source who had heard a tape of Trump using racial slurs.

Manigault-Newman - the former director of communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison - was sacked previous year by Chief of Staff John Kelly. "Good work by General Kelly for quickly firing that dog!".

"Donald Trump now is at the point where he's so fragile and can not ever, ever be in any interaction, any exchange in any room that's just not pure lionization, canonization", Deutsch concluded.
