Wilder And Fury Go Face-To-Face As Fight Is Confirmed

A formality was handled easily as Fury (27-0, 20 KOs) pitched a shutout and earned a unanimous decision against Francesco Pianeta (35-5-1) Saturday in the co-main event of Carl Frampton vs. Luke Jackson at Windsor Park in Belfast, Northern Island.

"Let's face it, he's not really fought anybody and he's had 40 fights", declared Fury, referring to Wilder's own unblemished history.

Wilder will have seen little from Fury in his win over Pianeta to concern him before their proposed fight in Las Vegas in November.

"We are ready now". It is on. This fight is official.

The first fight of his return was an nearly comical bout against Albanian cruiserweight Sefer Seferi in June, which ended after the fourth round when Fury's opponent quit.

Saunders and Wilder are in Belfast to watch Tyson Fury continue his comeback on Saturday evening.

In just his second comeback bout following more than two years away from the ring to exorcise personal demons, Fury did as he pleased against a disengaging Pianeta.

"They called, I answered". I said send the contract and they sent the contract. "I said yes and now he gets a chance to fight the lineal champion of the world", said Fury, who has a 27-0 record.

The legendary former England worldwide is a big boxing fan and took the opportunity of his prime seats to introduce himself to Wilder, and even threw a gentle punch at his jaw. "One thing I promise in Las Vegas is that I am knocking you out". I don't think he'd ever beat Wilder. "I am going to knock you out". You don't know what that feels like but you will.

"And I can tell you first hand he can really wallop".

The 30-year-old has weighed in ahead of fight night, tipping the scales at 18st 6lbs (258lbs).

The incident allegedly took place at a Nando's restaurant in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I'm here, baby. I just left the Fury weigh-ins and oh my god, was it insane! "We came here to get the rounds in with a tough man, quite durable". We were happy with the performance. I thought that was a step up in opponent and a great boxing display. As the rounds progressed, Fury cranked up the pressure and began sitting down on his punches.
