Emery sweating over the fitness of quartet ahead of Newcastle tie

Arsenal coach Unai Emery has called on Mesut Ozil to be more of a scoring threat going forward, as the Spaniard continues to search for the best way to use the German playmaker.

Emery has denied a rift with the midfielder, who stepped away from worldwide duty following Germany's poor World Cup defence, citing "racism and disrespect" over his Turkish roots.

Arsenal were without a number of key players for the 3-2 victory over Cardiff City two weeks ago and now, the club has provided an update on the fitness situation.

Sports Mole looks at how Arsenal could line up for Saturday's trip to Newcastle United in the Premier League.

And speaking ahead of this weekend's Premier League clash with Newcastle, Emery opened up on where his relationship with Ozil now stands. "We will work, we will help him, give him the possibility on the pitch to be together, to find his qualities for us".

Here for me it isn't for a lot of the time speaking about what people are telling us.

"That's the same for Mesut". "He is working for the team to help us with his quality". I usually give players the position they feel the best.

'I can say that I am very happy with him because he is 32 years old but I think physically, with his performances with us in matches, he is playing with a very good level.

Torreira picked up a minor calf issue while away with Uruguay last week but he's trained fully since returning to Arsenal and is available for selection so I wouldn't be surprised to see him start against Newcastle this weekend.
