Eminem Attacks Machine Gun Kelly On New Song "Killshot"

Eminem Attacks Machine Gun Kelly On New Song

In it, Em (of course) gets in his playground potshots ("how you gonna name yourself after a damn gun and rock a man bun" and "feel like I'm babysitting Lil Tay"), and drags innocent women into the fray (Rihanna, Iggy Azalea, and Halsey are all named). "I just felt like there was a mutual respect", Em told Sway of their initial friendship. "I'm 45 and I'm still outselling you". MGK later responded with "Rap Devil", accusing Eminem of trying to sabotage his career when he was coming up.

"And every time I do that it makes that person - as irrelevant as people say I am in hip-hop - I make them bigger by getting into this thing where I'm like, 'I wanna destroy him, but I also don't wanna make him bigger, ' because now you're a fucking enemy".

He frequently references MGK's 2012 tweet about Eminem's daughter. So I sat back and I'm like, 'Ok, that's fine, ' people can talk insane about me, that's fine, they should express themselves and they have a right to. "I'm doing the same shit you did back in ur day. life is still real on my side, and I had to take time from the grind to defend myself from someone I called an idol. love, Rap Devil". "Had enough of this tatted up mumble rapper / How the fuck can him and I battle?". You know how many fucking rappers are better than you? "You're not even in the f***in' conversation". Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds, who has become a staunch LGBTQ rights advocate in recent years, was among the new song's most prominent critics.

Eminem also brought up Kelly's line on Tech N9ne's song 'No Reason (The Mosh Pit Song)', in which he claimed that Eminem is "just rap and not God".

The most shocking diss on "Killshot", however, may be when Eminem talks about MGK's failed romance with singer Halsey, and the fact that she's now dating fellow rapper G-Eazy.

He explained: "You know you go down the wormhole of YouTube and whatever, right?" I'm like, 'What the f***?

"That's not why I dissed him, the reason I dissed him is actually a lot more petty that that".

Speaking with musician Sway on the latest instalment of a multi-part interview about the album, Eminem said he hurt "a lot of other people" by calling Tyler a "f****t" on the Kamikaze track "Fall".
