Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola make surprise revelation over future plans

He has won everything in football including La Liga, the Champions League, the World Cup and the European Championships and it seems Messi recognised his talent nearly instantly.

De Bruyne signed his current contract in January and it ties him to City until 2023.

Barcelona supporters might get the chance to see Pep Guardiola back at their club after all, as the Manchester City coach admitted that he'd like to finish his coaching career back at La Masia.

Like De Bruyne, Guardiola has committed his future to City with a contract extension and the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach is settled at the Etihad Stadium.

"The clause is €250m (£223m)".

City have barely missed De Bruyne's influence, but did drop points in a 1-1 draw with Wolves in their third league game of the season. "I'm sorry, he is not for sale".

"He's very good and is a very dynamic player", Guardiola said.

The Spaniard went on to praise his midfielder, adding, "De Bruyne does everything and everything well, but still has room to grow. I recently met his parents and understood a lot about why he is a fantastic guy".

For now, though, Guardiola insists he is very happy at City. "I'm well protected, I don't feel judged". "The club knows my opinion and we share that and after that it is [up to] the club and Raheem's agent".

Last season De Bruyne scored eight goals for the Premier League champions and aso came up with 16 assists as the team broke all sorts of records in England.
