N'Golo Kante makes PSG transfer admission

N'Golo Kante says he has "no urge" to leave Chelsea following World Cup success with France, despite admitting that Paris Saint-Germain made contact with him during the summer transfer window.

However, the 27-year-old ended up staying at the west London club and he will now be aiming to help the Blues mount a serious Premier League title challenge.

"There was no urge to go anywhere else after the World Cup", he told RMC Sport.

"There was interest from other clubs, but things were clear after speaking with Chelsea - the club is counting on me and I feel good".

Two-time Premier League victor Kante helped Chelsea to the title in 2016-17, having starred in Leciester City's unlikely march to glory in the previous campaign. "The next logical step was to continue at Chelsea".

Kante, 27, was an important member of France's World Cup-winning squad in Russian Federation, but despite heavy links with a return to his home country after former coach Antonio Conte was replaced by Maurizio Sarri, the former Leicester City man is happy to still be in London this season.

It's no wonder then that PSG would have interest of his services, but Kante is happy where he is for now.

Chelsea FC are aiming to at last break back into the top four this season after they ended up in fifth place and won the FA Cup last term under Antonio Conte.

'There were some contacts [from PSG],' he said. But after a discussion with Chelsea I understood that what was most important was to feel good where I was. I am at Chelsea. I am at Chelsea.
