The Last Remnant Remastered heads to PS4 in December 2018

This will be the first time we will be seeing The Last Remnant on a Playstation Console as it's original release on the the Xbox 360 and later on steam.

The game will be released as The Last Remnant Remastered, and today, Square Enix shared a brief teaser trailer to announce the game.

Update: The Last Remnant Remastered has been announced for the West too. The lack of experience with Unreal made things even worse, resulting in awful frame rate issues throughout the game along with long loading times. The game will use a new game engine and have graphics with higher resolution.

Pre-TGS 2018 announcements continue with Square Enix announcing the return of a cult hit RPG.

The Last Remnant released in 2008 for Xbox 360 followed by a PC port in 2009.

For gamers who missed out on The Last Remnant back in 2008, you now have an opportunity to play it when it launches on the PlayStation 4.

The story is centered on Remnants, ancient and powerful artifacts which grant their attuned users great magical power and devastation.

The dynamic game world revolves around the awe-inspiring Remnants. This allowed the game to portray the much larger scale battles it wanted to better suit the political upheaval of the narrative.

The Last Remnant Remastered will be a PlayStation Store exclusive in North America and Europe. At the moment the game is only headed for Japan and only in digital format. The world features the typical war-torn anime setting of a Japanese RPG, and its gameplay, characters, and narrative structure are very similar to the Final Fantasy series.
