Mr. Malik also confirmed his exit from the show.

On Wednesday, Shweta had had taken to Twitter to narrate her own MeToo experience stating how Malik allegedly asked for a "kiss" in exchange of offering her a song in his film in 2000. Malik has repeatedly denied the allegations.

The decision comes after singers Sona Mohapatra and Shweta Pandit accused Malik of sexual harassment.

According to ANI, Sony Entertainment Television, which airs the reality show, said, "Anu Malik is no longer a part of Indian Idol jury panel". In her alleged accusation, the first woman recounted her day of the incident when the Indian Idol judge, rubbed his body against her. After hearing her voice Anuji said "You have a good voice and I will definitely let you know for future projects", after that they left.

Singer Sona Mahapatra had also called out the 57-year-old in an Instagram post accusing Malik of being a "serial offender" and alleged that he would call her at odd hours.

"After working on song Anu called her "Beta aap kuch gaana sunnana chahte ho toh sunao". She said that just when she was about to leave, he tried to hug her.

While recounting the incident, the survivor told Mid-Day, "He simply unzipped his trousers and asked me to lick him!" Once, at a meeting in Sahara Studios, Gurugram, he asked the survivor to wear a "chiffon sari" the next time she met him. Ever since the allegations were made on Malik, the channel had been discussing the whole matter and now came to the conclusion of dropping him till the matter is further investigated.

His lawyer Zulfiqar Memon stated, "The allegations made against my client are emphatically denied as completely false and baseless". She pushed him away which is when he said that "I am happy with my wife, I am a sensitive man".

Finding herself trapped at the moment, the second victim went on to say, "Panic struck me as I realised the recording studio was sound-proof and no one would hear me even if I screamed".
