Houston 3B Bregman moves to leadoff spot for Game 4 of ALCS

A certain video clip served as an unfortunate reminder from the last time the Red Sox Game 3 starter in the American League Championship Series faced the Astros.

The Houston Astros might find themselves defending more than their World Series title.

The Houston Astros were accused of cheating throughout the playoffs, having someone sneaking around and stealing signs from the Boston Red Sox. The Boston Red Sox have a 2-1 series lead over the Houston Astros in the best of seven series. Center fielder George Springer almost made a leaping catch, but the ball glanced off his glove. Joe Kelly, Ryan Brasier and Matt Barnes have all worked multiple innings ahead of Craig Kimbrel in the playoffs and could do the same here. That call stood following a replay review despite the appearance that Betts reached into the stands to make his attempt.

Pitcher simply may get in some bullpen work during Game 3. Hinch said, "I'm aware of something going on, but I haven't been briefed". The Red Sox are hitting a.333 with runners in scoring position in the ALCS, and they're a ridiculous.438 with runners in scoring position and two outs. Alex Bregman is hitting.287 with 170 hits and 31 home runs in 156 games this year for the Astros. He said he was making sure the Red Sox weren't trying to steal signs. That advantage was short-lived.

"It did not affect our first game, what took place", said Dombrowski, the president of baseball operations. However, after recording two quick outs in the sixth, he surrendered a double to Christian Vazquez before Bradley pounced on James' off-speed offering. Kimbrel threw a first-pitch, 97 miles per hour fastball that Bregman laced into shallow left field.

Boosted by a questionable fan interference call and another home run from Jackie Bradley a gripping back-and-forth game, the Red Sox moved within one victory of their first World Series trip since winning the 2013 title.

The Red Sox have simply stunned the Astros at home these past two games to take a 3-1 series lead. Red Sox manager (and former Astros bench coach) Alex Cora agreed. There's no more hitting line drives into the shift. George Springer, Bregman and Jose Altuve each went deep to left at Minute Maid Park, three of the four solo shots allowed by Eovaldi in the game. Kemp led off with a single but he tried to stretch it into a double and was thrown out at second base by Betts. Benintendi reeled in the ball with a perfectly timed diving catch, a walk-off web gem. "It wins games like it did today. We're all athletes that give effort". The Astros allowed the fewest runs (534) of any AL staff in a non-strike season since the designated hitter was instituted in 1973. Rick Porcello starts for the Red Sox after appearing in relief in Game 2.

Houston Astros manager AJ Hinch speaks during a news conference on Monday, Oct. 15, 2018. "He hasn't played in a while and you can see in his swing the ball is jumping off his bat". Max Muncy had the go-ahead single in the sixth to put the Dodgers up three games to two heading back to Milwaukee for game six.
