Huawei Mate 20 Pro Launch

The Huawei Mate 20 event will kick off on 16 October 2018 at 11:30pm AEDT. That's 6pm PT and 9am ET.

Although we don't officially know everything Huawei will unveil, we do know it'll be the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro.

Last year, Huawei announced its new Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro in Munich. However, like nearly every new smartphone, there's already been a bunch of leaks which gives us a rough idea on what to expect on the device. The other two phones on the left should be the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro. Here are the details and live stream.

Users can watch the live stream in different voice languages like in French, Russian, Arabic, and Spanish. Huawei hinted at a three-cam setup in a square module and confirmed to no one's surprise both phones will be powered by the Kirin 980, the first Android chipset based on the 7 nm process.

The Huawei Mate 20 expected to come today with an LCD screen and a fingerprint sensor on the back. There will be a 4200 mAh battery on Huawei Mate 20 Pro, while its sibling will host a 4000 mAh battery. Further, the smartphone is expected to Huawei's proprietary facial recognition technology and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It will be available in variable RAM options of 4/6/8GB with 64 and 512 GB of Storage. The device is said to feature a 6.39-inch OLED display with a resolution of 3120×1440 pixels. There will be a 6 or 8GB RAM options with 128GB and 512 GB of internal storage. The Huawei Mate 20 is reported to debut in Blue and Twilight colour options, while the Mate 20 Pro could go on sale in Blue, Twilight, and Black colour options.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is rumoured to have high-speed LTE access, NFC, Bluetooth v5.0, and Gigabit WLAN along with dual-band support.
