Meghan Markle’s half-sister turned away from Kensington Palace

Meghan Markle’s half-sister turned away from Kensington Palace

One place you really can't show up without calling first is Kensington Palace.

According to the Daily Mirror, the 53-year-old had flown to the United Kingdom "to confront her younger sibling" after sending another letter to Kensington Palace warning that her behaviour would "escalate" unless such a meeting was scheduled. She made her way about the city in a wheelchair due to multiple sclerosis.

Samantha showed up to Kensington Palace uninvited earlier this month, and now a source tells ET how the Duchess of Sussex and the royal family are dealing with the situation.

It appears she had made an unsuccessful attempt to hand over a letter - presumably addressed to her sister Meghan.

Moments later, Samantha was photographed at a souvenir stall buying novelty masks depicting Prince Harry and Meghan.

The source reportedly said: "She fully hoped they would let her in but she was turned away. It was a sad sight".

As fans of the royal family may already know, Meghan Markle's estranged relationship with Samantha and their father, Thomas Markle, has been well-documented in the press.

Since her visit, Markle has posted a series of tweets about the trip to London, including a reference to her palace visit.

Did Meghan's Half-Sister Just Apologize To Her On TV?

Since her arrival in the UK, Samantha has demanded an audience with her half-sister which has so far failed to eventuate.

Samantha has maintained that she went public with her feelings towards Meghan because she feels her father, Thomas Markle, deserves respect and that he shouldn't have been isolated.

"I just think that families can be this way when there's confusion and when people are hurt".

"I felt it could've all been nipped in the bud had everyone been included and we all agreed to move forward with positive resolve".
