These will be "updated regularly" so that it doesn't get stale and can adapt to new artists.

"If a subscriber wants a great playlist based on one of their favorite musicians or songs, they can simply search for it and start listening to one of the brand-new Artist Radio playlists".

What just happened? Spotify's latest update, rolling out now on Android and iOS, borrows a key feature from streaming music pioneer Pandora.

The new Premium has more streamlined navigation, offering better recommendations in "Home", "Search", and smoother access to songs, artists, playlists, and podcasts in "Your Library"; and a personalised search for users to more easily discover music that reflects them and their mood.

Streamlined navigation: Spotify has refined the navigation to help people quickly find what they're looking for. Artists Radio Playlists have also been revamped and brought to the forefront. These offer an endless listening stream personalized to the listener's own musical tastes.

Spotify released a major upgrade to its premium music streaming service.

Spotify also cut down the number of tabs at the bottom of the screen so that you only have three: Home, Search, and Your Library.

Way back in August of this year, Spotify rolled out a new UI for its iOS and Android apps that's much simpler and easy to use.

"Browse", which mainly highlighted curated playlists and showed music by genre is now based on the search page.

The updates are rolling out globally as we speak, so if you're not a Spotify Premium subscriber yet, this is probably a good time to trial the service free of charge for 30 days.

"Radio" is now an option you can play after searching for an artist.
