Star Citizen Trailer Shows Off Gary Oldman, Mark Hamill & More

Star Citizen, a game that's been in development longer than we've been a website (we turn five years old this month, thanks for asking) has just had a new trailer released which features a tonne of famous faces. The game is aiming for a full release in 2019, though no specific date has yet been announced. We've seen some glimpses of it already, but this is probably the most polished the game has ever been in the public eye. Star Citizen is having its annual event gathering with fans and backers as well as the makers of the game to showcase the latest details that will be shipping shortly in version 3.3 which is now in testing with the advanced Evocati test group.

This trend continues as Roberts Space Industries has released a new trailer at CitizenCon showcasing several high-caliber actors, including Mark Hamill, Gary Oldman, Andy Serkis, and Gillian Anderson.

There's no sign as to when Squadron 42 or Star Citizen will officially release, so players are urged to remember that this will remain a work-in-progress for the foreseeable future.

The game takes place in the year 2945.

As well as that new feature, the Stanton System system will be populated with enemy AI for the FPS sections.

Development of multiplayer games going on since 2011.

To be honest, the cast that's been assembled for "Squadron 42" could actually make a pretty decent movie.
