Venom Will Take Second Weekend at Box Office

Directed by Ruben Fleischer, Venom's release date is October 5th, 2018.

In fourth place is the Goosebumps sequel, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween, which is eyeing $15.7 million.

Domestically, Venom has already made just shy of $143 million, with an added $235.3 million from global territories - outperforming each one of the last three Spider-Man movies when comparing their second weekend box office returns!

Globally, First Man reeled in $25.1 million, taking in $8.6 million in 22 markets.

"A Star Is Born", bolstered by stellar reviews and fans excited over the Lady Gaga-Bradley Cooper collaboration, declined by only 33 percent and lifted its 10-day total to more than $94 million at 3,708 venues.


It's earned $57.6 million since its September 28 release and $52.6 million elsewhere giving it a worldwide haul of $110.2 million.

First Man, which now has 88% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, arrives in time for next year's 50th anniversary of the Moon Landing. Check here for more updates on Venom's box office performance! Ryan Gosling stars as Neil Armstrong in the film alongside Claire Foy, Corey Stoll, Kyle Chandler, Jason Clarke, Shea Wigham, and Jon Bernthal.

Last year the 33-year-old became the first filmmaker ever to win the Best Director Oscar. The original opened with $23.6 million in 2015 on its way to an $80 million domestic total.

Meawhile, Smallfoot, a family animation featuring the voice talents of Channing Tatum and Zendaya, took $9.3 million to come in fifth. Critics are supporting "Bad Times", set at a fictional hotel on the California-Nevada border, with a 75 percent "fresh" rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Fox's expansion of teen drama "The Hate U Give" finished ninth with $1.8 million at 248 sites.
