White woman backs away from claim that black child groped her

A white woman who called the cops on a nine-year-old black boy claiming he groped her buttocks has apologized to him after security footage proved he never put a hand on her.

The woman, 53-year-old Teresa Klein, had alleged on Wednesday that the boy groped her at a convenience store.

"I understand how it looks, but she escalated it and then I lost my temper at her, not at that child", Klein told CNN affiliate WPIX, referring to the boy's mother.

Security camera video from inside the bodega shows the young boy walking behind Klein while she is at the register. "That's right, her son grabbed my ass, and she made a decision to yell at me".

Another onlooker brands Klein "Corner Store Caroline" - à la monikers from other viral videos in which white women call the police on African-Americans over minor incidents. "She's terrorizing the building", said Hazel Freeman, 52, a pastor who lives above Klein.

The kid can be seen wailing outside the store as the crowd tries to comfort him and comes to his defense.

"As I walked up, I noticed the argument, apparently the kid brushed up against her, and she said he touched her and chose to call police on a 9-year-old child", he wrote. In May, a graduate student at Yale University was questioned by police after a fellow student reported her for sleeping in the common area of their dormitory.

The woman identified, as Teresa Klein, was being rung up at the front counter when the child walked by wearing a large backpack.

Later, the woman appeared in front of reporters and spoke of the whole ordeal. But people who were there said she made it all up. "It's not the first time I've been grabbed on the a** by a kid". She said she is not a racist and is no longer sure the boy grabbed her.

Littlejohn labelled Klein "Cornerstore Caroline", the latest variation on a trend of nicknaming white woman who have gone viral for calling 911 on black people.

He followed that up with another video - this one showing police officers arriving at the woman's home.

Though Littlejohn indicated that he wasn't familiar with the family being pestered by Klein, he did reveal that Klein is known as "The Terminator" in the neighborhood because of the aviators she sports and her overall demeanor. This can't be allowed.

"I have no idea what they're talking about", she told The Post.

"What you will clearly see is his bag of school uniforms lightly brush up against her", Mr King wrote.

But her name is Teresa Klein.

We asked Klein to explain what happened.

When approached by a New York Post reporter outside her apartment on Friday, Klein said of the mother: 'I would like to apologize to her daughter and her son but not to her.
