There is a situation regarding the backlash of the disappearance of Washington Post reporter Jamal Khashoggi, who was a Saudi Arabian national who had been critical of aspects of the country in his reporting.

Khashoggi, a journalist who has been critical of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, disappeared after entering the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul on October 2.

During the segment, Oliver brought up WWE's relationship with Saudi Arabia and showed the propaganda-like clips that aired during Greatest Royal Rumble back in April. As reported by TIME, an alleged assassination squad "killed and dismembered" Khashoggi "in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul".

On Thursday Trump expressed reluctance to to impose sanctions against Saudi Arabia because he said the country was spending $110 billion in the US on weapons sales.

Tonight's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw is set to take place from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, and it will feature more hype for the upcoming Crown Jewel pay-per-view.

In a almost 20-minute segment on Sunday's Last Week Tonight (watch it above), Oliver detailed the cozy and lucrative relationship between World Wresting Entertainment and Saudi Arabia, specifically Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (or MBS, as he's often called).

Oliver said Trump and the prince were "similar in some of the worst possible ways", including a love of money and self-promotion.
